Reeling in the “National” client
Dick: My business is here in Wisconsin but we build all over the country. I generally look in the phone book for a local architect to handle the code and plan review issues for our projects. It’s rather random. Dimension IV indicated that they could handle all of my architectural issues from Wisconsin and still provide local construction administration.
Dan: As a Triglyph member, we have an associated architect in California that can help us with the site planning, local approvals and construction administration. The same is true of the Pennsylvania project and the one in Illinois.
Dick: Having Dimension IV prepare all the design, detailing, specification and bid packages, my overhead costs will be reduced because we are not “reinventing the wheel” on each new project.

Dave: Longtime Chicago area client of ours contacted us regarding remodeling an office in Wayne, Pennsylvania. They were unhappy with the level of control they had had on previous out of state projects where we had served as the space planner and they had engaged the landlord to provide turn-key design services based on our space planning. Client wanted to know if we could deliver all the required services for this project. Project was going too fast for us to go through NCARB to get license in Pennsylvania.
Went through list of Triglyph associates to find someone able to help us in Pennsylvania. Design Atlantic worked with us to do field surveys of existing conditions, code reviews of our space plans, oversight of all our construction documents, located a local permit expediter and handled construction administration.
Finith: Based on the trust relationship we had developed with Interwork, we were comfortable taking on this role with an out of state firm. Frank from our office added construction expertise working with the contractor and local authorities to resolve conditions that were uncovered during demolition.
Dave: Design Atlantic’s site presence helped us address unforeseen conditions that would have been costly and time consuming to resolve from a long distance. That kept the schedule on track avoiding down time while getting team members from Chicago to Wayne.
Successful completion of the Wayne project has client wanting us to provide this more in depth level of services on all their projects outside the Chicago area.
