Features
Weekly Internet Meetings
Each week a specific topic is discussed. Many ideas and experiences are shared during these structured discussions. These discussions may lead to documentation of new best practices or to a larger group initiative. All lead to stronger relationships.
1st Wednesday: Marketing topics
2nd Wednesday: Financial topics
3rd Wednesday: Operations topics
4th Wednesday: Human resource topics
Best practice methods and tools
Many of the business and practice ideas that come out of conference calls and other discussions are “prototyped” for use by all members. These have included internal contracts, marketing materials, CAD templates and others. These are accessed thru the .ORG website.
Group initiatives
Some discussions lead to bigger initiatives. Within the purposes of Triglyph, interested members can pool resources to pursue a nationwide marketing campaign, development of building information modeling standards, group purchasing contacts, and others.
Building Information Modeling training
One initiative that is now ongoing is the annual BIM Training session. Co-sponsored by Graphisoft, this three-day intense beginner class is offered to a select group of graduate students (prospective employees) for free and is open to 2-3 member employees at a nominal fee.
Nationwide presence
Member firms are listed and linked on the Triglyph website. Downloadable firm profiles are available to potential customers.
Annual meeting
All members are invited to the annual meeting usually held two days in advance of the AIA national convention in the same city.
Member database
Members have access to all other members. Look for special skills, workforce availability, design expertise, locations, and downloadable firm résumés to strengthen your market position.
Increased workload
As membership grows so does the potential of collaboration. Present members need complimentary expertise, local support, and/or manpower.
New Member Package
Graphics package for your website and stationary, press release for distribution to local media, listing on Triglyph website, creation of downloadable PDF of your firm profile-linked on the Triglyph website and passwords to shared ftp site.
